We are fortunate to be situated within a caring community which has shown us an enormous amount of support during the pandemic. From lovely artwork to brighten everyone’s day, to thoughtful donations, we have been overwhelmed by the kind gestures of local people.
We now want to give back and celebrate our community’s unsung heroes who have gone above and beyond to support people during such a challenging time.
That is why we are launching the Waterside Community Champion Award.
This award is not from Oaklands Rest Home, but instead our lovely residents, who are so thankful for the love they have received recently.
How to nominate
If you know someone who has gone the extra mile to help the Waterside community during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to hear from you! They could be an NHS frontline worker or a special individual who has supported the vulnerable members of the community.
