The Forget-Me-Not Café at Oaklands

At Oaklands, we place great importance on creating opportunities for residents to spend time with others. Our Forget-Me-Not Café, held on the fourth Friday of each month, is a lovely way of bringing residents, families and the local community together.

The café provides a relaxed setting where guests can enjoy refreshments and conversation in a friendly, informal environment. It is particularly supportive for those living with memory loss, as well as their loved ones and carers, offering a space where people can feel comfortable and understood.

Our March café was especially enjoyable, as we were pleased to welcome Alex from Dementia Hub Waterside. Alex is passionate about supporting people living with dementia in the local area and spent time chatting with residents and their family members. We look forward to welcoming her back to Oaklands again soon.
