Oaklands get ready to unleash their inner elf to help beat dementia

Posted on 27 November 2019

Next Friday (6th December), the Oaklands team will be dressing up for the Alzheimer’s Society Elf Day – a nationwide event to raise money for people affected by dementia and spread some early festive cheer.

We were really excited to receive our fundraising pack last week and several members of staff have already put forward their best #elfselfies using the resources provided!

As part of our Elf Day event next week, all the staff will be getting dressed up and Paige will be taking on the role of Chief Elf!  Throughout the day, we’ll have a number of elf-themed games going on, as well as a festive afternoon tea, dance and sing-a-long with the residents. If you’re visiting us over the next week or so you can also take part in our ‘Name the Elf ‘and ‘Elf Advent Calendar’ games located in reception.

Be sure to also follow us on Facebook and Instagram, where we’ll be posting photos from the event throughout the day!
