Oaklands ecstatic to win national Caring UK Award for ‘Management Team of the Year’Posted on 8 January 2024
We are thrilled to announce that our incredible management team won the prestigious Caring UK Award for ‘Management Team of the Year’! What an amazing achievement!
Our team was crowned the winners at the opulent award ceremony held in Leicester in December, which was hosted by TV personality, Des Coleman, and attended by over 500 people.
The expert judging panel, including Marie Curie Associate Director, Matt Williams, and DUET Diabetes Limited Founder, Lynne Reedman, was impressed with how Oaklands’ management enables the staff to deliver outstanding care, through encouraging a wide range of personalised activities and embracing innovative technology, to ensure residents safety and wellbeing.
Oaklands’ management team work hard to create a positive environment and boost staff morale, with award nights, employee of the month, focusing on staff development and recognising staff who go above and beyond.
Caring UK Awards Director, Dominic Musgrave said: “This year’s winners should be very very proud – the high standard of entries made it a tough job to select a final shortlist, never mind a winner and runner-up in each category.
“Our awards night was a great celebration of the care industry as a whole and it was great to see so many businesses represented at the event. It was a wonderful evening and it was lovely to share in the celebrations of the winners.”
On winning the award, Oaklands’ Director, Samir Patel said: “This exceptional recognition is testament to the dedication, compassion and outstanding commitment of the entire Oaklands team.
“The commitment of our staff to excellence has undoubtedly made a significant difference in the community, and it is heartening to see their efforts recognised on a national level.
“It’s not the management alone, but the collective spirit, collaboration and hard work that makes Oaklands Rest Home such an extraordinary and award-winning establishment.”
