Congratulations Oaklands’ Deputy Manager: A finalist in the National Care Awards

We are thrilled to announce that our Deputy Manager, Mia Williams, has been named a finalist in the National Care Awards! This is an incredible achievement and one that is very well-deserved!

Mia is an invaluable member of the Oaklands team. She’s incredibly hardworking, becoming a Carer at Oaklands in 2016, after looking after her terminally ill father, progressing to Senior Carer, Senior Lead, Head of Care, and now our exceptional Deputy Manager.

This isn’t Mia’s first accolade since working at Oaklands, she played an important part in winning the Caring UK’s ‘Management of the Year’ Award in 2023, where her dedication and passion for the care industry and residents really stood out.

We are incredibly lucky to have Mia as part of our team. This national recognition is a testament to her dedication to our residents and staff.

On receiving the news, Mia said: “I’m really proud and grateful to have been nominated for this award. We have a wonderful care home that I’m really proud to be part of, from the staff, to the residents, to the directors. We are really lucky to be here and I strive to give the best life to our residents for as long as I possibly can.”

Nicola, our Registered Manager said: “We are delighted that Mia has received this national recognition. We are so proud of what Mia has achieved during her time at Oaklands. Good luck in the final Mia – we are all behind you!”
