One of the region’s leading award‑winning care homes
We’re a family-run care home, set in a beautiful Victorian property with lovely grounds, on the edge of the New Forest. Whether residents require specialised care from our experienced dementia team or simply a welcoming space to enjoy a cup of tea a few times a week, we’re dedicated to providing the support they need.
At Oaklands, our residents become one of the family. Our dedicated staff stay with us and develop in their roles, creating a familiar and nurturing atmosphere where both residents and staff feel valued. Oaklands is more than a place to live – it’s a place to thrive!
Warm & welcoming environment
Our award-winning home offers 35 spacious bedrooms with en-suite facilities, cosy communal lounges, spacious dining areas, hair salon, dedicated hobbies room and landscaped grounds. We encourage residents to bring their own treasured possessions and arrange their room as they wish, so it really does feel like home.
Engaging activities
There’s always something to look forward to at Oaklands! We take pride in offering a diverse range of activities, from daily armchair exercises to theme days and musical performers. Our inter-generational sessions are particularly popular, bringing joy and mutual benefits to both residents and young visitors. With so much to enjoy, every day at Oaklands is filled with opportunities for social connection and fun!
Innovative approach to care
We’re proud to have earned national awards for our innovative approach to care. As the first care home in Southampton to embrace cutting-edge technology, we’ve set a new standard in the industry. Our innovations include a night-time monitoring system that helps prevent falls and mobile care monitoring that replaces handwritten notes, giving our team more time to engage directly with residents.

Dedicated & experienced management team
Our management team is deeply committed to the care provided at Oaklands. Directors Samir and Anish come from a family with a long-standing dedication to care, while Nicola, our Registered Manager, treats residents and their families with the same warmth and respect as she would her own.
