A Visit from the Waterside Fire Engine

We were very pleased to welcome the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine to Oaklands for a special visit on the 18^th December.

The Waterside Christmas Fire Engine is a well-known local event, run by volunteers who decorate the fire engine with festive lights and travel around the area each December. Their visits help support local charities while also bringing some festive cheer to the community.

Residents enjoyed watching the fire engine arrive outside the home, taking in the bright decorations and lights. Many gathered near the entrance to see it up close, wave to the team and have photos taken with the fire engine. Santa then came inside the home, taking time to speak with residents and hand out small gifts, which was very much appreciated and brought lots of smiles. The visit gave residents the chance to enjoy something a little different. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved for visiting Oaklands and for the kindness shown to our residents.
